Doors Opening

While living in Minneapolis and unable to attend our home church (We miss you, 121 Community Church in Grapevine, TX), we’ve been attending Woodland Hills Church in St. Paul. Yesterday the pastor (Greg Boyd) made the following statement in his sermon:

“Where your comfort zone ends, the Kingdom begins.”

I love this picture that my Aunt Barbara took in China at the Forbidden City. It is of some ancient doors deep in the complex. To me, the picture makes me think about the doors opening in our lives; right now they are just cracking open, and we can’t yet see the mysteries hidden behind them. The doors are certainly taking us out of our comfort zone, and we trust they are bringing us into His Kingdom in a greater measure than we’ve ever known or experienced.

(Thought this blog needed a picture to break up my rambling text.) 🙂
